Sant Marí de Talaixà church

Description

The church of Sant Martí de Talaixà was donated, in the year 872, to the monks of Sant Aniol d'Aguja, who turned it into a monastic cell. The primitive Romanesque building was considerably modified during modern times. The church is orientated from north to south with the main entrance door located on the noon façade. In the west there is the bell tower, with a square floor plan and a hip roof. Inside the church a cylindrical baptismal font can be found. This area was abandoned during the 20th century and, therefore, the buildings ended up in ruins.
