Casa Astruc David

Description

Set over Garganell creek, near the river Fluvià, stands this building, an example of the civil architecture of the 13th century. It was built between the Romanesque and the Gothic periods and belonged to a well-known Jewish family called Astruc. Later, it belonged to Bernat Cavaller, the mayor, and this is why it is called Cúria Reial. Nowadays, it is a cultural space with exhibitions and several activities. It also houses the municipal archives.
