Molí dels Murris gorge

Description

The Cogolls creek is approximately 8 metres long and is born on the west side of Puig Rodó (Les Preses) and goes down through the Cogolls valley until the town of Les Planes d'Hostoles, where its waters meet the ones coming from the river Brugent. Cogolls creek has always been a privileged place thanks to the water. From the 13th century onwards, several flour mills, among which Dels Murris mill, settled along its course. Part of the water was diverted into a channel leading to the mill, where a pond was filled. The water was used to produce hydro energy and later turn it into mechanical power to grind the wheat.
