The castle of Puigpardines

The castle was built by Puigpardines lords between the 12th and the 13th centuries. Later, in the 13th century, it was redone and finally abandoned in the 15th century. It was located within the limits of Puigpardines parish. It is believed that the building was solid and strong. On the northwest wall, a part of the original construction (5.50 metres high and 6 metres long) is still preserved. It is about 110 centimetres wide. On the floor there are two rows of loopholes about 45 centimetres high, which could correspond to two rows of ashlars.
